A new audiometer for Antrim Elementary School

Audiometer presentationThe nurse's office at Antrim Elementary School (AES) was the site of a welcome presentation today when the Antrim-Bennington Lions Club provided AES a new audiometer. Prior to the gift, if a student was in need of a hearing test, the school nurse either had to organize a special visit to the Great Brook Middle School or borrow an audiometer from another district school. Principal Debbie Lesure and School Nurse Judith Bernardi noted the importance of the machine, "Your donation plays an integral part in the health care we provide to the students here at Antrim Elementary School. Because of your donation, we will be able to detect hearing problems promptly and refer the students to qualified medical personal for follow-up care."

Audiometer thank you The audiometer was purchased with proceeds from the November 12th's annual Antrim-Bennington Lions Club Hunters Breakfast and a grant from the Lions Sight & Hearing Foundation of New Hampshire. At hand for the presentation were Ms. Lesure, Ms. Bernardi, Antrim-Bennington Lions Club President Linda Ward, Lion David Ward, Lion Sarah Edwards, Lion Alan Fahrner, and soon-to-be-Lion Michelle Fahrner.
